There are a lot of questions that customers have about dumpster rentals and other disposal services that we provide here at 121 Disposal Co. We might not be able to answer all of them here, but we’ll try!

Don’t see your question here? Try looking on our Main FAQs Page, or contact us to ask us your question directly. We’ll be happy to help however we can!

1. How much does a dumpster rental from 121 Disposal cost, and are there any hidden fees?

The cost of a dumpster rental depends on the dumpster size, rental duration, type of waste, and your location. Our quotes include all standard charges. However, additional fees might apply if you exceed weight limits, require extended rental periods, or dispose of prohibited items. We strive for transparency and will outline all potential costs with you upfront.

2. How far in advance should I schedule a dumpster rental with 121 Disposal?

We recommend scheduling your dumpster rental or waste pick up service at least 2-3 business days in advance. This helps ensure availability. For ongoing commercial services, setting up a consistent schedule well in advance would be best.

3. Where can I put a dumpster on my property or jobsite?

Dumpsters have to be placed on a flat, stable, and accessible surface. This typically means a driveway or designated construction area. We require adequate clearance for delivery and pickup, free from overhead obstructions like power lines or tree branches. Placement on public streets may require a permit from your local municipality.

4. What happens if I exceed the weight limit for my dumpster?

Each dumpster size that we rent out has a specific weight limit. If the contents of your dumpster exceed the weight limit, an overweight fee will be applied. Our team is happy to help you choose the right dumpster size to prevent unexpected charges.

5. Do I need a permit to place a roll-off dumpster on a public street or property?

Yes, in most municipalities a permit is required if you plan to place a roll-off dumpster on public property, such as a street, sidewalk, or alleyway. It’s your responsibility to obtain any necessary permits before the scheduled delivery. We’d be happy to help you with this process, though. Local regulations vary, so be sure to do the proper research before renting a dumpster with 121 Disposal.

6. Can I extend my dumpster rental?

Yes, you can typically extend your dumpster rental period. Please notify us as soon as possible if you anticipate needing the dumpster for a longer duration. Extension fees might apply, but these will be communicated clearly at the time of your request.

7. How does 121 Disposal Co. handle service during holidays or inclement weather?

During major holiday service, our schedule may be adjusted. We’ll communicate any changes to our pickup or delivery schedules in advance. You can also view our service calendar for more details here.

In cases of severe inclement weather, services may be delayed or temporarily suspended for the safety of our drivers and the public. We will resume services as soon as conditions allow.

8. How do I dispose of items not accepted in dumpsters or trash pickups from 121 Disposal?

For items not accepted in our standard services, such as hazardous waste, electronics, or certain chemicals, we recommend contacting your local municipal waste management facility or specialized recycling centers. They often have programs or designated drop-off points for these materials. If we can, we’ll be happy to provide information on local resources.

9. Who is responsible for any property damage that might occur during dumpster delivery or pickup?

While our drivers are highly trained and take utmost care, the customer is generally responsible for ensuring the placement area is clear and suitable for heavy equipment. 121 Disposal Co. is not liable for damage to driveways, lawns, or other property if the damage is a result of inadequate access, unsuitable ground conditions, or customer-directed placement. We’re happy to discuss any concerns with our team prior to rental and delivery.

10. How can I manage my 121 Disposal account, view invoices, or change my service online?

Customers can manage their accounts, view billing statements, and make service requests through our online customer portal. The 121 Disposal customer portal provides a convenient way to update contact information, review service history, and communicate with our customer service team. We’ll show you how to do all of this when you rent a dumpster or start another service with us.
